Economic and Financial Crime Commision, EFCC has finally released the Ibrahim Magu from detention.
Suspended acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has been discharged in the wake of confronting a presidential board in Aso Rock.
His discharge comes scarcely few hours after the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu denied the police were holding him.
Magu’s legal advisors, Tosin Ojaomo Esq had kept in touch with the IGP mentioning for bail for Magu and the IGP’s office answered in a letter that Magu was being confined on the sets of the presidential board, headed by Justice Ayo Salami, testing him for blundering recouped plunders.
He was arrested on July 6, 2020 by security powers to respond to inquiries by the board headed by a previous Appeal Court judge, Ayo Salami, and had stayed in confinement from that point forward.
Magu’s legal advisor, Wahab Shittu, on July 15, affirmed the release of his client by the Presidential Investigation Panel.
