Minister: sacked over plans to buy sweets worth $2.2m

Madagascar education minister, Rijasoa Andriamanana has been relief of her duties following the plan to buy sweets worth about $2.2m.

Last week, according to AFP news agency,  Rijasoa Andriamanana had said that she would order the sweets for children to help reduce the “bitter’’ taste of Covid-Organic the Madagascar herbal drink that is said to cure Coronavirus. However World Health Organization (WHO) has made clear that there is no sure cure for Coronavirus.

According to story coming from AFP, says that each student was supposed to be entitled to three pieces of sweet.

In the statement, Ella Beatrice Assoumacou was announced the acting minister for education.
